Meet the Owner & Chef...

Hello, I am Gary Tolla, the owner and Chef of Bay Street Dawgs.  I was born and raised in a small town in Connecticut and have lived in Florida 20 years.  I am a professionally trained chef with many years of experience working with large companies such as Marriott Hotels and for ten years I was the owner/chef of Tolla’s Italian Deli & Café in Winter Park, Florida.  Moving to the beach a few years ago reminded me of the town I grew up in.  I opened Bay Street Dawgs because I want to bring that “small town feeling” to Daytona Beach.  I come from a large Italian family and have fond memories of summer picnics, swimming in the family pool and eating hotdogs, hamburgers and clams all Summer long.  The relishes that I serve are made with my family’s recipe and the delicious hotdogs and hamburgers are the best around.
